Exhausted but fruitful Holidaaaay~ Part 2 - Vienna

Waking up as early as 8am, I have to, due to there were only 2 toilets for 9 person. Also, I had to do some research work on our destination for the very 1st day in Vienna! While I was checking all the places of interest and trying to remember the map and layout of the city, gradually everyone was getting ready to move! (Although that was 2-3 hours later after I woke, haha!)

We definitely have to treat ourselves the local meal for the official 1st meal in foreign country! And so, we popped into a bar restaurant and just letting our taste bud to taste something different.

Speaking of food, we then walked passed two Christmas markets, and of course spin a round inside and get some stuff to fill our tummy again =pp

In fact, the destination of our long distance walking is the tourist center. Somehow, we stopped by many places, like a wonderful church with all the Christmas trees around, the weather forecaster Mozart, tasty local chocolate shop etc. It was really fun though.

Well, the first day was basically a city tour, we walked all the way to the places of interest or the important places in the city and nibbled along our journey. Haha... The route ended at a restaurant, where we had our local dinner in a pub restaurant, and headed to a mini concert! What else to have in the musical city without watching a concert right? =p Although I am not the guy in the music, but still I can see how great are them. Appreciate it very much!

At night when we got back to our apartment, we ended the night with tossing a bottle of "Mozart" chocolate wine. Taste exactly like melted chocolate, just with some alcohol in it. And so, we called it another night.....................................................zzZZZzzzZ

Exhausted but fruitful Holidaaaay~ Part 1 - Depart

Finally....!!! After three weeks consecutive of travelling and I am back in Birmingham, sitting in the living room, quietly on myself. It has been quite a while since the last moment where I was being alone.

Recalling on 17th December when I hopped onto the train to Manchester, that was where my journey begins. Spending a night of pre-gathering with friends, and headed to Liverpool airport to catch the flight next day. Upon arriving the airport, my clairvoyance gave me some bad feelings as all the red words appeared in the flight notice board (Cancelled). Fortunately our flight just overcome slight delay for 2 hours, due to heavy snow from previous night, compared to those flights had been cancelled, we were lucky enough =D

And then, arriving safely to Bratislava, the capital of Slovakia, of course it was already late at night and our plan on having a brief view of the city had been ruined. Well then, we caught a bus to Vienna, capital of Austria, which is just 1 hour journey. Heard from elsewhere that both cities are the nearest capital cities of two countries in the world, well I wonder is that true.

In Vienna, due to some communication problem, we faced some problem on getting to our apartment. Lol luckily the taxis solved our problem! 2 cabs brought us to the apartment, and the owner was waiting for us there to pass us the key. Yea we were all exhausted on that late night, but everything was left behind our mind when we got into the apartment - It was simply fantastic! Nice living room, kitchen, and everyone has their own bed! That was awesome!!

After that, we just get ourselves local fast food to fill up the tummy and call it a day. Tiring, but worth for it =D
